Today, the skill of creative thinking has become an indispensible individual trait sought after in every field that produces goods, service or information. Growing global population, advancing technology and subsequently changing living conditions require more and more individuals with creative thinking skills.

By the nature of arts, art education directly provides means to exercise creativity for its students and teachers. For instance, a student of practices his creative skills to achieve various creative ends, such as improvising by singing or playing an instrument, composing new works according to the rules of polyphony, developing personal learning strategies in his musical studies, or finding creative solutions to problems in musical studies in a group.

Musical hearing, reading and writing courses are known as an important basic application field in all dimensions of music education. These courses are generally instructor-centered and help students comprehend music theory, eurythmic structures, intervals, chords, scales, and melodies. However, additional activities and creative environment that help students develop and exhibit creative traits are a requirement in music education discipline in our day.

This paper investigates creativity in music, a branch of art, and proposes several creative activities in "musical hearing, reading, and writing" recommended by the researcher.
